Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas from the Capitol! The kids and I were in Salem today
and visited the Oregon Capitol building. We wanted to see the
Christmas decorations. It was beautiful, and the kids had a great time
exploring the building!

Concrete floor

Today we are pouring our concrete floor in the garage. Grant even got
a chance to jump in on the action! He was a little suprised at how
heavy it was!

Happy Birthday Camden!

Today we celebrated Camden's 5th Birthday! We had a party with a
few little boys and lots of family and close friends.
He had a wonderful time. We couldn't believe all the wonderful gifts
that he got! He is one spoiled little dude! :)
Camden is such a crack up, he had to put on the "clone" costume he
got, and he ran around the rest of the party as a clone trooper!
He was so overwhelmed with all his new things tonight, that he kept
running from one thing to the next and then back again.
Tomorrow he'll realize they aren't going anywhere and will be able to
enjoy them!

Flooring

Here are a few updated pictures of the new house. Justin spent all

from his Dad, Ferrill, and Bob. Hopefully we will be seeing walls soon!

Shea's First Soccer Game!!

Shea finally made her athletic debut tonight! She had her first ever
soccer game!
I must admit, I thought she may only be out there to look cute. Wow,
was I wrong!!
She did really well, Justin and I were really surprised. GRANT was
TOTALLY surprised, he couldn't believe how well his sister did! :)
She was aggressive on both sides of the ball, and she even scored her
first goal! But, the greatest part of it all, was that she had a
great time. She couldn't stop telling us how much fun it was!

WAY TO GO SHEA! We are so proud of you! (and I'm not feeling so bad
now that I made you play!!!) :)

The project must go on...

Construction came abrubtly to a halt last week with a very sorrowful
family tragedy. But, we must continue with life, no matter how
difficult.

Luckly we contracted out the foundation, so these guys have been
working even though we haven't. Here is a picture of our progressing
foundation.

Star Wars

My friend Dawn just sent me this GREAT picture! Her son had his 7th
birthday and he wanted a Star Wars party.
Mom, Dad and Sister decided to dress for the part! I just think this
is so cute, I had to share it!
She did tell me that Dad and "Jo" had a hard time not laughing, but
the girls were totally into character!! :)
Thanks Dawn for sharing, and tell "Jo" HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR US!

Pinehurst Day 3

Grant finished with an 85 today. He didn't think he played well at
all, si when he walked off the course and he found out it was an 85,
he was pretty happy! He thought for sure he was up in the 90's! So
in the end, Grant finished 87th in the world for the 2009
9yr old championships. He was hoping to break into the top 50, but
he's happy with his effort. Great job Grant !! We love you and are so
proud if you!
Once his round was over, Camden was dying to get out and hit the
driving range.
I think he's hoping to at in this one day! What gave we gotten
ourselves into?? :)

Pinehurst day 2

Wow!! What a MUCH better day! Grant shot an 82 and moved himself up
the leaderboard to 85th place! He was so excited! He had a few holes
he struggled on, but also missed a hole-in-one by less than a foot! A
very fun day on the golf course!
One more day left. He says he wants to "just have another really good
day!". Thanks for the prayers and support, we can feel them!!

Ear piercing!

Shea had a very exciting day today in pinehurst, NC! She got her ears
pierced!
We have been telling her that when she turned 8, she could get them
pierced. But, we though "what would be more special then doing it on
vacation in North Carolina!!"

She didn't cry or flinch, even on the 2nd ear! She said "it didn't
hurt at all." I almost cried though, She's growing up to fast!!

Pinehurst day 1

Well, today was a tough first day for Grant. He shot a 91 and is
currently in 105th place out of 143 kids. Not exactly what he (or Dad)
was hoping for. But, this is golf, and it's a tough game. He was
pretty bummed at first, but quickly got over it and can't wait to have
another shot at it tomorrow. We are pretty proud of him, and how he
handles the mental aspect of this game. He dragged us out to the
driving range tonight for some extra practice. Hopefully tomorrow will
be a better day for him. Please keep us in your prayers!

Shea and Camden time!

I've noticed that Grant has gotten a lot of time on the blog lately with all of his golfing. So I thought I should include some pictures of what Shea and Camden are doing during all of this golfing! They tag along to almost all of his tournaments. Usually they ride in the stroller, or walk along looking at all the animals. Golf courses are so beautiful, and are usually full of fun distractions for them. They are so good at staying quite and not running around crazy, we are so blessed! The last picture I included was from a family wedding we attended last weekend. We had so much fun and the wedding couldn't have been in a more beautiful location (Paradise Springs in Monroe)!

Just checking out the ducks.

Camden's favorite thing to do after the tournaments are to grab his clubs and hit balls at the range. He can't wait till he is 5 and can play in a "turnment."

Shea is really growing up this summer. I can't believe she will be a 2nd grader already!

Whatcha looking at?

Andy and Maria's Wedding, Congratulations to the happy couple!
